What's this life for? I have been thinking and wondering what's this life for? Why the difference in life among each and every one individual? Why the difference in mentality? Why the difference in understanding? Why are there so many people who can't put themselves in another person's shoes more often? Why are Man so selfish? What is happening to this world that we are living in? Why is Singapore so complacent? Why are they so arrogant? Why are they so narrow minded? Why are they so short sighted? Have they no plans in the future? Have they no vision? What's up with idols, fame and stardom? What are the youths turning into? Why are they either so naive or over confident? Why have they no sense of reality but fantasy? Have they lost their sense of respect and values in life? Is the human life returning to the basics of attraction and breeding and nothing else? Have people forgotten about the roots and vision that once set the mark to civilization? Why do people take things for granted? Is being a cool hunk or hot chick all that matters? Is love blinding the youths of this generation from the real world? Have they all forgotten about the other issues where higher priority should be given? Have they think that everything will go their way only to end up with disappoint when did not? Have they learnt to take up responsibility and stop blaming others? Why are they always all talk and no action? Even if there is action, why are they needless actions which leads to nothing for the good of others but themselves? Why are they either blind or blurred from the reality? Is society to blame? Is selfishness the main reason to the problems that exist in society? Are families to be blamed? Why are the educated behaving as unethical as the uneducated? Does education make a difference? What good a difference does it make? Is money always the issue and judgement of success? Do people care about learning the true meaning of living? Do they just see life in each passing day? Is the media to blame the spread of all these poor upbringing?
Have people actually forgotten that the people around them are actually the ones that either make or break their lives? The world? The future? The thinking? The doing? The reasons?

Sometimes, how I wish to be a simple person who only think of limited things to save myself the trouble of not offending the feelings of other people? To do just what I want and bear the consequences, then blame the others, think lowly, act poorly, yet live a life which at the very least I thought I am never in the wrong. Why do I have to think such complicated things to make things happy for everyone but myself? Why do I neglect myself? Just who am I? What is this life? What have I been saying? Been typing? Why do I have questions? And yet answers to them but not yet the complete answers I so truly wish to have? Why is it that somehow, everything links to another?

There are so many paths in this life. Yet, I feel that the one I take is so hard to associate with? What is my true personality? Where is my true self? When can I find the true me? All I can do is think and put myself in too many shoes. So many till I actually lost my own shoes. My mind is lost. Lost in the galaxy of thoughts. Lost in the confusion of mazes. Stucked in the world of life. Why can't I be just as ignorant as society is? Why can't I have a simple mind to have a peace of mind?

Age doesn't always mean experience nor wisdom. Knowledge is power. With power comes responsibilities. With responsibilities comes burdens. With burdens means stress. With stress means loss of control. With loss of control results in losing myself. Losing myself means the lost of my true identity. Lost of my identity equals to the lost of my personality. Who am I? What sort of character am I? But perhaps the less I know, the more blissful I am.

Just what is this life for?

First of all... Regardless of race, language, or religion, here's a HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR to all!!!

Before the celebrations begin, I had a tough time goin' out shopping for new clothes for this festival. There was hardly any clothes that caught my eye. Made a number of fruitless shopping trips until the very day before the eve of CNY. Thanks to my great buds', I finally got a casual long sleeve shirt from P.O.A.

Despite all the hype and preparations for this festival, somehow deep down inside, I don't feel the excitement this year. I guess it's because of all the work we all are having now. National service, work, further studies, etc. All these somehow drifted us apart from the joyous season. Missed the fun and trips made to go to friends' house. All these past efforts seemed history now that everyone's schedule are different and hard to accomodate.

Receiving red packets aren't what I'm looking forward to now. It's the quality time spent with friends and family that is so much more important. Therefore, I'm really looking forward to the MIT0218 gathering this 4th Feb! Hope all the 'nonsense' will be back to fill the emptiness of this festival inside me. Haha...

But what really delighted me this festive season is surprisingly not local. It's from the world of football! Guess what! My favourite football idol is back where he belongs!

ROBBIE FOWLER IS BACK TO LIVERPOOL FOOTBALL CLUB!!!

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO~! The best red 'packet' (ang pao) I've ever received my entire life from the Reds of Merseyside, Liverpool! The best gift ever!

Robbie 'GOD' Fowler has returned to Liverpool Football Club on the eve of the Lunar New Year! You must say this is the best and greatest red 'packet' from the Reds ever!

After 5 years of disappearance from wearing the red, he has now returned to where he truly belongs. Despite the drop in form in recent years due to the lack of fitness and injuries, I believe his thirst and passion to play for the Reds will bring out the best in him.

Good things come in threes. Now we have Fowler back in the squad, we have 3 senior Scousers we can be proud of to lead, and carry on the tradition of the Red Machine. Fowler's presence will help to lift some burden and pressure off a pair of tired Gerrard and Carragher to inspire the rest of the lads.

I say...,"LET THE CELEBRATIONS BEGIN! LET THE FLOODGATES OPEN!"

HAHAHA!!!
Oops... Sorry for those uninterested in football. But what da heck?! This is my best CNY ang pao! Best news of this festive season! The most shocking news in the football world now! Every single Liverpudlian is celebrating! And why not?!

Once again...
HAPPY LUNAR NEW YEAR!!!

Chii Huan, your true color is Black!

Your color is black. The color of night. Serene and mysterious, black conjures up images of elegant evening gowns, dashing tuxedos, and gleaming limousines. Traditionally a symbol of success, black also represents power and an uncompromising demand for perfection. Not surprisingly, you tend to set challenging goals for yourself and do whatever it takes to achieve them — your strength of character is second to none. This unfaltering determination, along with your natural elegance, impresses people. But keep in mind that your personality might be intimidating to some. Try to temper your demanding side with a little softness — trust us, it won't kill you. Overall, though, black is the color of professionalism and achievement, which means it's clearly the color for you.

On 18th November 2005, when I'm to take my driving test. I was like cat on hot bricks the night before. Alot of things ran through my mind.
What if I strike the pole? What if I mount the kerb? What if I meet an accident? What if I lose my cool? What if I stopped narrowly over the white line? What if the tester is strict? What if I did something I never did before and I fail? I've gotta fork out nearly $400 for a re-test. Goodness gracious me! I pray hard and questioned my self belief. To keep myself upbeated before the test, and warm up test, I listened to Franz Ferdinand's Do You Want To and Fort Minor's Remember The Name.
"Do You Want To? Of course I want to pass the test!" I reminded myself.
Then to regain some cool during the test, I kept the lyrics of Remember The Name running in my head. Everytime when I steer the wheel, these words rapped in my mind.
"It's just 10% luck, 20% skills, 15% concentrated power of will, 5% pleasure, 50% pain and 100% reason to remember the name!" I regained confidence when I reminded myself I've at least some percentage of luck, skills and pain. At least I know I've 15% determination and 5% of fun. So it ain't that bad afterall.
After the test, I returned to the waiting room waiting eagerly for the tester to break the news. He questioned,"How do you think you did?"
I replied after thinking it through,"7.8/10"
He commented,"Very good! You drive well and just needed to check your blind spots to ensure safety. But overall was good."
I've made it! 6 demerit points and I passed my driving! Now I can't wait for the enhancement course on the 30th Nov. It's all the more fortunate for me after I was told to have a former Singapore National Footballer as my tester. And I've got a rare autograph on my assessment checklist. Haha...

This week on the overall was pretty tiring. My legs and lungs weren't spared and I've been running long distances on back to back days. 7days of running since last saturday's game of football. Haiz... Guess I'll stop working out over the weekend to prepare myself for my final IPPT this coming monday. This time, I'm very confident of getting a GOLD. But will I be able to hit my target of getting 5points for each station? I'll only know it on the day itself. Until then, I'll just have to rest my body for that day to come...

Goodness gracious me... It's time when I've gotta go back to camp. 7 days of leave is over. Time to return to military lifestyle. Sigh sigh... Boring days in camp again but almost 2 weeks of free time has been kinda rewarding to a certain extend. Luckily, this week's programme is worth looking forward to. My final few driving lessons are coming and it's gonna be my driving test this friday! My driving license is gonna depend on this friday! Woooooooooo~!
So until then, wish me goodie good luck and who knows, I'll be able to give some lucky ones a free ride home in the future?

It could be you! ;)

Oh well I woke up tonight and said I
I'm gonna make somebody love me
I'm gonna make somebody love me
And now I know, now I know, now I know
I know that it's you
You're lucky, lucky
You're so lucky!
Oh well do you, do you do you want to?
Oh well do you, do you do you want to, want to go
Where I've never let you before?
Oh lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Oh lucky lucky
You're so lucky
Yeah!

Liverpudlians have sung about it for years but now it's official - Liverpool Football Club is the best in the world and we have the stats to prove it!
Following the publication of the latest World Club Rankings by the International Federation of Football History and Statistics the Reds are today sitting proud as the top team in world football. Based on domestic and continental results over the past 12 months, the reigning Champions of Europe are listed as the number one club side on the planet and who are we to argue? "The World Club Ranking is a precise classification showing the real level of the clubs free of any subjective influence," reads a statement on the IFFHS website. "It is the result of a profound analysis that allows us to fairly report the level of international performance for each country." For no-one who has heard about this I can tell you Robbie Fowler moves into more legendary status as an LFC god.
He fulfilled his promise by showing five fingers to the Man U fans who were giving him stick at Old Trafford earlier this season.
Robbie was on the bench that day and came on as a sub. He showed the five fingers during the warm-up before the game, while he was warming up when Joey Barton equalised. Also when he came on as a sub he had one hand up with five fingers!
It was never ever shown on tv, just brief Match of Day highlights of the game only, nothing about Robbie.
Top man I say!
cheers

Just in case you don't understand, "five fingers to the Man U fans" represents the number of times Liverpool FC had won the European Cup. To Man U fans, the fans of bitter rivals of the Reds, Liverpool being a five-time European Cup Champion overshadows the success of their beloved Devils, which is a two-time European Cup Champion.

I'm finally on leave! I'm gonna be a free bird until 13Nov. Hahaha...
For the past few months in training command, it's been rather boring during free hours. Luckily for me, I've my entertainer with me all the time. It's a Sony. Yup! Don't know how life would be like without my HD5.

Recently, there's been a hype over MP3 players, especially iPod Nano. It's cool! It's so slick and such an attraction! It's not just a MP3 player, it plays videos too! And that's cool although I'm sure MP4 players are testing the market. If you ask me which MP3 player would be a good, I would say all are about the same. If you want the well-known, then choose from iPod, iRiver, Sony & perhaps Creative. If you want the market leader, it's gotta be a battle between the popular Apple's iPod and it's competitor, Sony's HD5.

Personally, I must say the HD5 is a better choice over iPod in terms of music entertainment. Yea yea... A little bulkier, a little heavier than iPod, but hey! It's sound system sure is a whole lot better than iPod! It's metallic look has more class than a contemporary plastic iPod look. Ok ok, you may argue about iPod Nano, which also spots a metallic, stylish and slickier look. However, reviews and research had shown just how unprepared a Nano actually is! Over in the US, customers have been sending their Nanos back for a new one because of it's just too easily scratched. Even Apple had admitted that although Nano is released into the market, it's still not much a final product after failing some of their product testings. Moreover, the black Nano easily captures fingerprints making it a turn off.

Alright, you may argue once again that there are Nano skins made up of rubber to protect the Nano iPod from getting prints and scratches. But it does not have a protective cover for the scratchable screen. And if you bought the Nano for it's metallic look, but put a rubber skin over to avoid it from scratching, then what's the point of buying it for it's metal?

For me, exercising with music keeps up the tempo. Sony HD5 sure can pump me up when I strapped it around my arm. But do you think iPod Nano is worth the risk when exercising? Is iPod Nano able to take hard knocks like HD5, where HD5 has a unique G-sensor technology that protects the internal HDD even if it falls from a height of 1 m? HD5 has 5times the memory a 4G Nano has and it just costs $60 more.

Last but not least, battery life is another important issue. As far as I know, HD5 has at best 40hours of battery life. And that's the longest battery life available compared to other MP3 players. Moreover, it's replaceable unlike most. And definitely not the iPod. Longer battery life means more music time.

Not that iPod Nano is a bad player but I think Apple is trying to smoke it into the market without 100% reliability. So the smart choice for now definitely is either a Sony HD5 or an iPod/iPod mini. Thinking of getting a reliable Mp3 player value for money? Get a SONY!

My last stance be a stance of a General Custard
I hot dog cause I can, I got the cheese and mustard
I got the stats of a hall of famer - in just two records
That's why I'm back up at the Superbowl - with Julius Peppers
I got that cain't stop, won't stop, in my veins
That's why they cain't stop, won't stop, screamin the name
NELLY! NELLY! Go tell a friend to tell a friend
I'ma keep the same grin whether I, lose or win
Up, or down ten, I'ma fight to the end
[breathing hard] Let's go

Ain't no way they can stop me now Nelly
Cause I'm on my way, I can feel my ring comin
It's the blood of a champion, pumpin
Deep inside my veins, too much pride to be runnin
I'ma get what I can and more, even if
My blood, my sweat, and my tears don't mean nothin
It's the heart of a champion (it's the heart of me)
(It's the heart of a..) in me

I'm the first pick, the first round, signin bonus profound
Playin for his hometown, reppin for the home ground
And gettin buffer like Michael Riggs, tell 'em again
I gets buffer like Michael Riggs, heard what I said?
The MV-P of the game, intensity still the same
I'm shootin out from my reign, with Peyton Manning type aim
Can't stop me from scorin so they results are just hackin
So there's, three of us now - me, A.I. and Shaq'n
From the look to the as I say
Hover man with more heart than Hallmark on Valentine's Day
I'm the one that you've been Raven about, like Ray Lewis
I think it hard to go and change your route
Cause you don't know if I'm blitzin or if I'm sittin and readin
Waitin for you to go and trip, drop back and throw up a brick, man
AIN'T NO WAY THEY CAN - BLOW, AIN'T NO WAY THEY CAN - BLOW
AIN'T NO WAY THEY CAN - BLOW, AIN'T NO WAY THEY CAN - BLOW

Ain't no way they can stop me now Nelly
Cause I'm on my way, I can feel my ring comin
It's the blood of a champion, pumpin
Deep inside my veins, too much pride to be runnin
I'ma get what I can and more, even if
My blood, my sweat, and my tears don't mean nothin
It's the heart of a champion (it's the heart of me)
(It's the heart of a..) in me

It's like a big time decision made on how I can twurk it
If hard work pays off then easy work is worthless
My work habit ain't no habit man, I do it on purpose
I push myself to the limit so my talent'll surface
So now it's, curtains and drapes, on anybody who hates
Dislikin what I'm recitin, bitin what I've been writin
I've been dogfightin, scratchin and clawin on every height
Tryin to make you remember me like you +Remember the Titans+
Cause I'm a WARR-IOR, my daddy was a soldier
A Vietnam vet, lil' derrty I thought I told ya
I'm supposed ta, whip up your town in Testarossas
Heatin like Folgers mayne, I'm young black and rich
As good as it gets, and givin your point guard fits

After so long, I've finally gotta find time to blog. Here goes...

Time flies... I'm about to enter my 4th month of training. Just so recently completed my basic criminal law exam and basic swimming test, I've gotta get myself prepared for my scenario base test. Training as ain't easy, but it does have it's perks. 'Cos I'm finally going for my 1st practical driving lessons this coming week! Va-Va-Vrooooooomm!!!

However, I could have ride to the sound of a Mach II instead of a car engine (if you know what I mean). Just about 2 months into my training, the Air Force called me for a pilot interview. But I can't agree to it just yet cos I'm bonded to a contract. Funny enough, wherever I go this week, I kept seeing ads of the Air Force around me and, planes and helicopters flying and hovering over me. All these looks like a hint or something to me. Now I wonder if I should continue the path I walk as a Law Enforcer, or should I switch my path down as a Pilot? I'm stucked at a crossroad where I've to start weighing my options again. The answer seems obvious, but the answer to the question is more than meets the eye. So what if I passed the interview and medical to train as a pilot? What if I fail the training and dropout? I'll be left jobless and need to serve NS. But what if I make it through and become a pilot? My future will certainly look brighter and larger than life. But then again, what are my chances? Am I willing to take the risk? Do I really wanna become a pilot? Do I wanna become one because of the money, the pride, the fame, the talk? Do I really have the interest? I've to question myself again.

It ain't easy to become a Police Officer, mind you. It takes alot of character if I wanna excel as an officer. Not many managed to get past the panel to be in my position. Shouldn't I be grateful? Yes, I don't get as much money, flight, prestige, fame as a pilot, but I do get to experience different aspects of life, which is invisible and what appears to be normal to the public, as a police officer. I get to learn more about life as a P.O.

My OC Squad whispered to me the day before the exam. He told me he observed me. Analysed me. He said I'm disciplined. A good planner. Does not conclude things, not just yet. Not until I take a step back and look at things at a broader perspective. I'm able to see things differently. Able to see the big picture but also good with details. He commented not many people can do what I do. Then he taught me how I can improve. He reminded me of what I had learnt in life. And I remember his final words as he looked me in the eye,"I tell you this, you will go far..." Then he ended with a question as he referred me to the squad with his shrewd looking eyes,"... Now, start counting how many of them will quit?"

Not that I'm arrogant as to try to boast myself here. I'm trying to make this entry as a reminder to myself of the expectations my OC Squad has of me. Am I what he said I am and do I have what it really takes? Perhaps I'll stay put in this Force and challenge myself... Perhaps this green is much greener for me than the other side... Perhaps time will tell if I missed my chance of a lifetime...

Worked at Bossini for barely 1 month and it felt like I've been there for a long time. The staffs at Toa Payoh Bossini are really a great family. However, all good things has a start that comes with an end. Hate it to be so soon. Especially not when I feel like I'm goin' to be soaring like a regular with this sales team.

I remembered when I first started on June 10th. I'd barely worked for a couple of days and they had shown me trust, confidence and understanding. The in-charges taught me so many things on day 1 and very quickly, I was entrusted to things which most newcomers would only be entrusted after working for weeks. I'm proud of myself to say the least. Being praised for good attitude and quick learning ability by all of them. Jennifer, the assistant in-charge, is definitely the one who helped me progress this quickly. Learning everything (except for altering the pants) the trade needs me to be in just a matter of 2 weeks. Friends of mine (Kenny & Choon Kiat) who introduced me this job 2-3 weeks after they started, only get to learn how to be a cashier after working at their respective outlets for 4 weeks. As for me, I gotta learn how to on the 8th day at Bossini!

Things were awesome over at this Toa Payoh branch. The trust they put in me gives me belief. Starting on the 12th day, I started to become independent. Working and put in sole charge of the Men's side. Still a little confused and unsure with the cashiering machine, but I learnt from independence and experience. Of course I had my blunders but I was surprised that Jennifer wasn't mad at me at all but stood up for me when trouble came knocking. And so, my every 1st mistake became my very last. Except for 1 which seems to haunt me over and over again. I'm always almost late! In fact, I was late for almost 5-6 times during my 20 working days (excluding sundays) stinct! Old habits are just hard to kick.

One of the worst fears which sales assistant has is bad customers. Despite some rude customers with a bad attitude that can really spoil your day, there are those who will make it right back on track again. The appreciative and grateful customers who come back thanking your service assured me a job well done. Not to mention some compliments that come back to back sometimes. Everyday is a good day working with these friendly guys here. Sometimes, I just don't wanna knock off early. Especially when I've to multi-task servicing, cashiering, looking out for shoplifters and looking after a crowded jam packed shop, alone! Don't forget, I'm just a new bird in this biz. Adrenaline pumping it is. But it is so so fun despite the pressure! Ability to make so much sales and hitting the sales target alone by myself is great pleasure! Too bad these sales doesn't enter my pocket. Haha...

Just like I said initially, every beginning has an end. My Bossini work ended on July 2nd. It's a departure which I'm unwilling to make this soon. It makes it all so much tougher when the staffs told me not to leave them. Told me how they'll miss me every hour on my final working day. Told me how much they hoped I will be working with them for a much longer period. And drama there is when joked about they need to use the BSN Sports Towel to dry their tears. But still, they wish me all the best and asked me to visit them whenever I can. Well, I'm sure I will be returning there very soon since i left my water bottle over there. I've gotta collect it back! Hahahaha...

The Police Force finally sent me my final recruitment letter, where I'll be signing my bond this thursday on July 7th. Bittersweet it is. Finally my longly awaited chance to give it a shot in the police force arrived, but at the expense of a good worklife here at Bossini Toa Payoh. Kinda contradicting it may sound to me sometimes. How I wish to stop work at Bossini sometime ago because things starts to seem alittle too repetitive. But then again... Oh well...

And so, it's time to have a change in mindset and my life once more. A new objective in life and a challenging career. Time to uphold the Law instead of bring up the sales. But both meant the same. Service to the people.

Just so recently after Felicia's and Shumei's birthdays on the 6th and 7th of June respectively (Happy 20th Birthday!), enter another National Slave - Peter Seah. On the 9th, Peter turned green. Haha... Hope you're doin' well in there.

As it was on the 7th, Dennis, Kaixiong, Haojie, Haojie's girlfriend and I went to Toa Payoh to apply for a job at Bossini. Then Den, Loy and I went on to Popular where Den and Loy applied for a job at the bookstore.

Sales assistant: Please wait for awhile while I hand your application forms over to the manager.
(Minutes later)
Sales assistant: I'm sorry.
(At this very moment, you can see the disappointment in the eyes of both Dennis and Kaixiong.)

Sales assistant: My manager said that you both are over qualified. Therefore, she is handing your application forms over to the HR. The problem is this position is only for those 'O' or 'N' level or ITE students. Your qualifications are suitable for the position of Supervisor. That's why our manager said she'll send it to the HR.

Hahaha... Immediately, Kaixiong and Dennis burst into laughter as they left the shop. And so we went on to Plaza Singapura to apply for jobs at Flash n' Splash and P.O.A. Kaixiong also tried his luck at Action City.

Thursday, another tryout for a post at Starhub as a promoter/customer service person. The job pays attractively but they only want to sign us for a month. Not much prospect, I thought. But lucky me, Bossini called me up on that very afternoon for an interview. Haojie too. After the interview, I hit JACKPOT! I've got da job! As for Haojie, he was put on hold.

So... Sorry bros! Good luck to you guys! Hope you guys can land yourself a job asap.

As for me... I started work on Friday. So I guess I'll update this blog after 3 working days. Haha...

Recruit G.F. Huang! Fall in! 5..4..3..2..1...!

Haha... Guofeng! All the best to you during your National Service! 3rd June was your first day in. On 17 June we shall look forward, the day when you can book out. Ha! Take care, recruit!

Oh ya! That also means Peter, you've better start preparing! 9th June, surely not the date you're counting down to. Haha...
On the 2nd of June, I had a pleasant surprise! SMS tones kept ringing, all asking me the same question. "Were you the one who wrote it?"

I didn't know what they were referring to until I read the papers. At the back of The New Paper, was a big picture. A blackboard chalked 'L' 'F' 'C' '5' at the background with a LiverBird at the foreground. I thought," This looks familiar." So I read the article beneathe the picture. "GOODNESS GRACIOUS ME!",I thought. My email has been printed on the local news! A story made outta my email was spreaded around the whole island! COOL!

Here's what was on print:

LFC 5 What's in that number for Liverpool? By Wang Meng Meng June 02, 2005

THE Champions League victory for Liverpool was brought to you by the letters 'L', 'F', 'C' and the number '5'.

No, this is not a phrase taken from Sesame Street.
But if the omens are to be believed, Liverpool's triumph in Europe last week had very much to do with the mystical powers of the number '5'.

Chii Huan Cho, a Liverpool fan, alerted The New Paper of the startling recurrence of this magic number in the build-up to the penalty shoot-out defeat of AC Milan in Istanbul.
He wrote: 'It was the 50th European Cup final.
'Liverpool were fighting for their fifth European Cup.
'Leading the attack for Liverpool was Milan Baros, who was wearing jersey number 5.
'The Red Army reminding the world of the famous five words - You Will Never Walk Alone.
'With the scores level at 3-3, the final went into a shoot-out. Five penalties were scored and the game ended 3-2 in Liverpool's favour.'

Chii continued: 'Look at the signs! How many times did you see the number 5 appear? The recurrence of the number was the most significant sign pointing to a Reds' victory.
'It was not just the omens talking about the emergence of a new Pope or a Welsh rugby win. Nor is it Prince Charles' marriages or that Dr Who television show in Britain.'
For those who are still sceptical about the 'signs', Chii had this to say.
He insisted: 'Still unconvinced? MediaCorp showed it 'live' to all who watched the match on none other than Channel 5. And what about those who tuned in to ESPN on Channel 23? Just add two and three and you get...five!

'Arsenal won the FA Cup this season. Chelsea bagged the English Premier League and the League Cup. Liverpool got to keep their fifth European Cup.
'And in which position did the Reds finish in the Premiership? Fifth!'
'It's a sign of good things to come. See that number 5 again? It's all destined.
It's all fated.'

Here's what I emailed:

25/05/2005, Istanbul.
It's the 50th European Cup final.
Liverpool FC's fighting for their 5TH European Cup to keep it at where it should belong - Anfield.Leading the attack for Liverpool was Milan Baros, who was wearing jersey number 5. The Red Tide reminding all of the famous 5 words - You Will Never Walk Alone.3-0 down at half time. Within the 50th - 59th minute period, it's levelled at 3-3. Into the penalties where 5 goals were scored from a decisive penalty shoot-out, ending the game 3-2 in Liverpool's favour.Look at the signs! How many times did you see the number 5 appear? There are more than just the stars pointing to a Liverpool victory. More than just the signs about the rise of a new Pope nor a Wales win. Nor is it just marriage in a drama show nor of the Prince. Its written all over before and during the match. Mambo number 5 was telling you that it's Liverpool's season to win it this year.Still unconvinced? Well, Mediacorp showed it 'live' to all who watched the match on none other than Channel 5. ESPN ch23? 2+3=5. Go figure!

Arsenal holds the FA cup this season. Chelsea with the English Premier League and the League Cup. Liverpool gets to keep their 5th European Cup. Manchester United? Nothing.
Manchester United fans for all your bragging, teasing and air of arrogance, like of Sir Alex, which we Liverpool fans have to endure and suffer, it's time you really shut up for good. Still trying to console yourself by saying Liverpool is 5th in the EPL this season finishing below Man U (3rd) and Everton (4th)? Well, it's a sign of good things to come. See that number 5 again? Just a price Liverpool have to pay to Destiny. To Fate.

Like Booker T loves to say,"5-time! 5-time WCW champion! Now, CAN YOU DIG IT?!" Well, for what I prefer to say,"5-time! 5-time European Cup Champion! Now, CAN (MAN) U DIG IT?!"

Here's the best banner in Istanbul:
No small toffees for feast tonight
Kopites party with Turkish delight
Jose, Sir Alex... London press All choking on sweet success
Money, not love, is your drive
But tell us... Can you count to five?

After comparing both articles, I thought it's time to brush up my English. Haha...
